Creating a "floating" glass panel wall sculpture
A SHORT ANIMATION: A step by step view of the process

BELOW IS A SLIDE SHOW ANIMATION

I first began painting on glass panels about three years ago. I live in a home built in 1928, and when I first moved in I came upon a stack of old, louvered window panes. I was without canvas for several weeks, so I decided to try painting on the glass panels. Using a mix of spray paint, acrylic paint, varnish and metallic powders, a new form of expression was developed.

Each panel takes approximately one to two months to fully dry, at which point a clear protective coat is applied and then they are mounted. Every panel is a one-of-a-kind art work filled with intricate color combinations and diverse textures that is impossible to re-create.

*Three years after first painting on glass, the expressionist panels have become some of my most popular pieces. Versatile and unique they make a wonderful addition to any home or office.

Additional panels and artwork are on display at the following galleries:
Cactus Gallery, Eagle Rock CA

JFerrari Gallery, Atwater Village CA
Garden Island Art, Kauai HI
